PCI Students Save 1,017 Lives in 2003!

The final American Red Cross Blood drive for 2003 yielded the largest percentage of donations in the history of the school. In fact, there were two blood drives for the fall due to the large number of students who were willing to donate their blood for the cause of saving lives.

Students and staff donated a total of 339 units of blood which roughly translates into 1,017 lives potentially saved! Patti Moody, American Red Cross Blood Drive Coordinator said “We are going to have to have two days for each drive at PCI beginning in 2004. We just can’t fit in that many students into just one day! It’s amazing the success we have had at PCI!”

Equally impressive was the dedicated Blood Counts Team, a group of students who volunteered their time and energy into organizing the schools most successful blood drive in history.

Thank You to all the Students, Blood Counts Team and Staff of PCI!

Your generous gifts of blood and time have made a difference in the world.
