About Victory
House in Oak Cliff
Victory House is a residential chemical
dependency and homeless facility located at Terrace Drive and Beckley Avenue
in South Oak Cliff, Texas. The house was started in 1989 in a modest two
story dwelling that is a haven for those down on their luck.
Victory House does not receive any government funding and relies solely
on donations from the public and monies earned from the owner’s employment.
In June, Victory House had a total of 35 residents including two families.
Residents are asked to pay a nominal monthly fee for room and board but
no one is turned away due to their inability to pay.
The Psychiatric Assistant class at PCI has adopted the Victory House as
an ongoing project to help support and bring comfort to those that need
it the most. PA students have been pro-active in providing resident’s assistance
as well as hosting a BBQ in July.
For more information and details about how you can help in this worthy endeavor
just ask any PA student on campus. All help is needed and greatly appreciated!
Finally, a special thank you to PCI Students and School Staff that donated
to the Victory House donation drive!
